Aion is a new massively multiplayer online game, set in the world of Atreia. A cataclysm has sundered the land into two halves - the peaceful tree-hugging world of the Elyos and the bleak martial realm of the Asmodians. The two worlds are divided by the Abyss, a dark void created when the worlds split upon the shattering of the Tower of Eternity. The Abyss is a place of constant strife and terror.

Players become either an Asmodian or Elyos Daeva, a winged warrior fighting in the battle between the two races and against the third unplayable faction, the Balaur. Aion features both PVE and PVP combat, some of it aerial.
