The Australian Vengeance Alliance was formed on March 18th 1999 by Suits as a Tribes clan. The purpose was to obtain some organised clan matches for its members to play in. All members were derived from the previous clan that they were in, KQ.

KQ was one of the earliest clans of the Australian Tribes community, it was founded by [KQ]Sethiroth. Members would meet on servers and just simply play alongside each other, some good times were had but the members wanted more. With the current leader perminently absent Suits started AvA and recruited those from KQ who were interested in playing some organised matches.

Once AvA began it employed a strict Code of Conduct for all its members to encourage friendly team play where ever they played. AvA soon became a group of friends from all over Australia.

After about three years of playing Tribes AvA expanded to also play the new Tribes2. Not long after that following member interest in other games AvA spread out to cover numerous games. This resulted in an internal structural change to AvA. Suits has remained leader of AvA overall however the majority of decisions and recruitment is handled by individual Team Leaders and the AvA Council. The Council members are made up from long term members who are all invested in the running of AvA.

Each game team is treated as a different team when it comes to joining them however all AvA teams play under the same Code of Conduct and the same AvA spirit. AvA, now known as Team-AvA has as of the start of 2006 over 150 members and continues to grow with new teams and promote friendly team play. Team-AvA is a true Alliance of teamplayers.
